Interested in a career in the Health and Social Care sector? Look no further. Wirral Council is hosting a jobs fair to connect employers and training providers with people who are looking to take their next step into this rewarding sector.

Where: The Hive, Birkenhead, CH41 4EA When: Tuesday 21 January, 2pm – 7pm Who is it for? Everyone from school leavers looking to start their career to those looking for a change in direction or looking to

get back into employment. There are also opportunities for experienced workers – such
as nurses or health visitors – to those looking for relevant training opportunities or the next step after finishing related courses.

A wide range of employers will be sharing their vacancies on the day, with the opportunity to apply for roles there and then – making it a practical one stop shop to help you take the first step toward your dream new role.

Examples of vacancies include:

• Support Worker (various levels of experience) – Care Home or

  community based

• Healthcare Assistant

• Clinical Support Worker

• Activities Coordinator
• Domestic Assistant
• Porter
• Healthcare Cleaning Professional

There will also be guidance available to help job seekers enhance their employability, as well as information from training providers – including The University of Chester and Wirral Met College - on available courses. Apprenticeships are also on offer during the event, perfect for those looking to combine training with ‘on the job’ experience.

No booking is required, simply turn up on the day. Accompanied children are welcome.
