ZILLO is a website for young people living in Wirral, Merseyside. It is a go-to place for the latest events, arts, culture, news, and helpful advice about health and wellbeing, all made for young people.

ZILLO wants to show the best of Wirral and share what young people can do in their community. We have a project called Young Reporters where young people can learn about writing and creating content for the internet. This program is open to all young people in Wirral who are aged 11 to 18, and also to those up to 25 years old with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

ZILLO started in April 2020, thanks to Wirral Borough Council’s Children’s Services and Wirral Metropolitan College. The project began with students helping to create different websites for their school projects. Many of the ideas from these students helped to make the ZILLO website what it is today. We keep working with Wirral Metropolitan College to give even more young people a chance to learn and gain work experience.
